Texas Squealer Burger
Sometimes it is just time for a good burger. There are many different ways to prepare and excellent burger, but this one goes that one extra bit further.
- 1½ lb lean ground beef (the more lean the better)
- 12 slices bacon, uncooked (not the thick slices)
-
1½ tablespoons KA-Ranch Big Cow Steak & Burger Rub
- 2 tablespoon Jalapeño & Onion Relish & Grilling Glaze
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper
Chop the bacon and finely dice it with a sharp knife.
Mix all ingredients and form into 4-6 patties. Some folks put them into the freezer (use wax paper if you do this) for a half hour or more because it makes them a bit easier to grill. Grill the patties about 5 minutes on each side. Because of the bacon this is not a burger to cook to less than medium doneness.
Top with pepper jack cheese and serve on bolillos with KA-Ranch Jalapeño Ketchup, Fort Worth 1849 Rib & Brisket Sauce, and Habanero Mustard to complete the Texan experience.
Serves 4 Texans and 6 regular folks.
