KA Baked Brie
Brie cheese wrapped in pastry and baked until it has thoroughly melted inside is a simple but decadent appetizer. Adding Raspberry-Jalapeño jam or Jalapeño & Onion relish makes this an elegant hors d'oeuvre with a distinct southwestern flavor.
- 1 large sheet of puff pastry dough or 1 tube refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1 5-inch round of brie cheese (do not remove rind)
- 2 Tablespoons KA-Ranch Raspberry Jalapeño Jam
-or for a savory flavor
- 2 Tablespoons (drained) KA-Ranch Jalapeno & Onion Relish
On a cookie sheet, lay the dough out flat; spread the jam or relish in a 5” circle in the middle and set the cheese on top. Fold dough over the top to completely encase the cheese, cutting off any excess dough. Flip the whole thing over so that the seams are on the bottom.
Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes, pastry should be golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with a fresh baguette, crackers, pita chips, Crostinis, and/or apple slices.
